A Bridgnorth family is making an emotional appeal to find their beloved two-year-old cocker spaniel, Henry, who has been missing since the end of November. The search has been ongoing for more than a month, but hopes of reuniting with Henry before Christmas are fading.
Rachel Symons, Henry’s owner, described the devastating impact his disappearance has had on her family, especially her 13-year-old son, Sidney. “He’s beside himself. He doesn’t even want to do Christmas,” she said.
Ms. Symons shared that their efforts have been tireless and included a nationwide campaign. Over 2,000 flyers and banners have been distributed, along with the creation of a Facebook group to gather support and potential leads. However, despite reported sightings, none have been confirmed as Henry.
Lisa Dean, who has been coordinating the search, emphasized growing fears that Henry may have been stolen. The family is urging anyone with information to come forward. They have even provided two anonymous tip-off lines on Facebook for anyone who might know where Henry is.
Volunteers have rallied across the community, searching the countryside near the family’s home and spreading the word through social media. Ms. Symons expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support, saying, “There’s a lot of people upset.”
The family has also offered a reward in exchange for Henry’s safe return.
For the Symons family, having Henry back before Christmas is a wish that “would mean the world.” If you have any information, please reach out via the Facebook page or anonymous contact numbers provided.
