It was a sea of red and white in Jersey on December 5th as more than 400 people donned Santa costumes and laced up their running shoes for the annual Santa Dash. The event, organized to support Jersey Hospice Care, broke its previous fundraising record, collecting an impressive £11,000.

The funds, according to the charity, will cover approximately a week of care in its inpatient unit, providing vital support for those in need.

Community Support and Record-Breaking Participation

“We’re thrilled with the turnout,” said Marina Brockbank, community engagement officer at Jersey Hospice Care. “Not only did we have a brilliant number of participants, but it also raised the highest amount we’ve ever seen.”

Brockbank thanked the enthusiastic runners, affectionately referred to as “dashers,” and their supporters for making the event such a success. She added, “It makes a huge difference in supporting the work we do. Thanks again to everyone who took part or cheered us on.”
